Health and wellness can be an overwhelming and confusing topic with so many fads and plenty of misinformation out there. Each month (or longer if we need more time) we will discuss one or two health and wellness books that are based on research.

To kick off our very first book club,  we will be reading or listening to Intuitive Eating or/and Anti-Diet. We want to build a strong foundation by questioning diet culture and focusing on strategies that will help improve your overall relationship with food and your body.

If you have you have not read either of these books, please read Intuitive Eating. If you have already ready Intuitive Eating, please read Anti-Diet. Feel free to read or listen to both, if interested!

See you April 16th :)

intuitive eating

By Eveyn Tribole, MS, RDN, CEDRD-S and Elyse Resch, MS, RDN, CEDRD-S, FAND

"Since it was first published in 1995, Intuitive Eating has become the go-to book on rebuilding a healthy body image and making peace with food. This revised edition is entirely updated throughout including new material on diet culture, weight stigma, and baby-led weaning. These expansions will help readers properly integrate intuitive eating into their daily lives and make peace with food."

2

anti-diet

By Christy Harrison, MPH, RD

"Drawing on scientific research, personal experience, and stories from patients and colleagues, Anti-Diet provides a radical alternative to diet culture, and helps readers reclaim their bodies, minds, and lives so they can focus on the things that truly matter."
